PETALING JAYA: Barisan Nasional lawmakers defended the government's suing Bersih co-chairman S Ambiga and nine others for RM122,000 in damages to government property during the April 28 Bersih rally.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz said dismissed opposition claims that the Public Assembly Act, which the defendants are being sued under, was draconian.
