ROMPIN: The dropout rate of orang asli schoolchildren has been reduced thanks to the Government’s continuous efforts to improve their education standards, said Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
He said the rate had dropped from 29% last year to 26% this year and the ministry, through the Orang Asli Development Depar-tment, is working to reduce the dropout rate from primary and secondary schools to 15% by 2015.
