KUALA LUMPUR: An accountant was jailed three years and ordered to be given two strokes of the cane for committing criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving RM250,000 ten years ago.
P. Subramaniam, 51, was charged with CBT on Oct 14, 2009 for failing to remit RM250,000 to the Inland Revenue Board in the form of cheques entrusted to him by Syarikat Cashflow Horizon Sdn Bhd for payment of income tax.
