KUALA LUMPUR: There was no point in staying the 12-year jail sentence of the teen who threw her newborn out the window if the judge was going to impose a RM15,000 bail.
“If she could not even pay the RM5,000 fine the judge had also meted, resulting in an extra six months’ jail, how could she come up with RM15,000?” asked former Bar president Ragunath Kesavan.
