KUALA LUMPUR: A teenage mum who killed her newborn by flinging the baby out of the window continues to languish in jail even though the court granted her a stay of execution pending an appeal on the sentence because she could not pay the RM15,000 bail.
Selayang Sessions Court judge Maziah Joary Tajudin granted Noor Atika Kamarulzaman, 19, a stay of execution for her 12-year prison sentence but not her RM5,000 fine.
