1Azam boost for 35 small business owners

SHAH ALAM: Thirty-five participants received aid through the Azam Niaga programme under the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry in the Kota Raja constituency on April 19.

Kota Raja Women and Family Development Council chairperson Nahar Ahmad said the assistance would serve as a starting point of their journey towards becoming successful entrepreneurs, in addition to expanding their current business.

She said the 1Azam assistance serves as a starting platform for those interested to set up their own small business but did not have sufficient starting capital.

The 1Azam programme is an initiative under the GTP’s Low Income Households NKRA, which aims to improve the living standards of households categorised as poor and extreme poor.

The programme features four sub-programmes – Azam Tani for agricultural business, Azam Niaga for business opportunities, Azam Kerja for job matching opportunities and Azam Khidmat for opportunities in the service sector.
