PETALING JAYA: A total of 132,424 illegal immigrants nabbed under the 6P programme were granted amnesty and allowed to return to their countries.
Home Ministry secretary-general Tan Sri Mahmood Adam said the bulk were Indonesians (82,253) followed by Indians (10,091), Nepalese (9,271), Myanmars (7,850), Cambodians (5,121), Bangladeshis (4,816), Vietnamese (3,242), Pakistanis (2,707), Filipinos (2,249), Sri Lankans (1,705), Chinese (1,492) and others (1,627).
