KUALA LUMPUR: A strong earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale struck at 1.57pm Sunday in west coast of northern Sumatra, Indonesia.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department reported that the epicentre of the moderate earthquake was 623km soutwest of Simeulue, Indonesia, and 1,106km southwest of Kampar, Perak. BERNAMA
