IPOH: An electrical component factory in Taman Perindustrian Silibin was gutted in a fire.
However, no one was injured in yesterday's 1pm fire.
The fire, which started on the ground floor, had spread quickly, destroying almost 80% of the double-storey building.
Ipoh Fire and Rescue Services Department chief P. Samasuvan said 33 personnel from fire stations in Ipoh, Simpang Pulai and Pengkalan rushed to the scene upon receiving an alert.
“With help from volunteers, firemen managed to bring the fire under control at around 1.45pm.
“However, it took us around four hours to completely put out the fire,” he said.
