60 more vocational schools to get 5S certificate


ALOR SETAR: Sixty more vocational schools, technical vocational schools and vocational colleges nationwide will be awarded the 5S certificate by year-end, said Education Ministry technical and vocational division director Ahmad Tajudin Jab.

He said the 5S, which referred to a Japanese management methodology based on five principles - seiri (discard), seiton (sort), seiso (straighten), seiketsu (standardise) and shitsuke (sustain) - was instrumental in motivating students and enhancing school performance.
