GEORGE TOWN: Penang Gerakan chairman Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan is not listed as a candidate in the general election although his political rival Datuk Seri Chia Kwang Chye is slated to contest a state seat.
Sources said that Dr Teng, who lost the Pulau Tikus state seat in 2008, was not among the names recommended by the state working committee to the party's Central Working Committee (CWC).
