The presence of police in housing areas targeted by snatch thieves has come as a relief to residents. But they feel more needs to be done.
Nurse S. Saraswathy, 43, used to feel nervous every time she stepped out of her house in SS3, Petaling Jaya, because of the rampant snatch thefts in the neighbourhood. She is relieved that there are more police officers patrolling around her residential area on their motorbikes and in their cars these days.
