KUALA LUMPUR: The prices of goods will not increase following the seven to 13% pay rise for civil servants under the Malaysian Remuneration System announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Thursday, the Government has assured.
Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said traders who indiscriminately hiked prices would be punished under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act.
