GEORGE TOWN: Penang police on Sunday expressed disappointment over the decision made by the organiser of the "Himpunan Hijau 2.0" to hold a gathering at the Speakers Corner in Padang Kota here without informing them until it turned ugly.
Penang police chief Datuk Ayub Yaakob said the organiser only informed the police about the gathering when a commotion broke out among the participants and members of a non-governmental organisation (NGO), which resulted in a reporter and photographer of a Chinese daily being injured.
