KUALA LUMPUR: A Universiti Malaya (UM) survey shows that although there is a general acceptance of the 1Malaysia concept by Malaysians, each ethnic group has its own narrow reservations.
“Malaysians are concerned about the impact of 1Malaysia on their public life and personal inter-relations. The challenge is on the national and grassroots leaders to translate rhetoric into reality,” said UM’s International Institute of Public Policy and Management (Inpuma), which carried out the survey from May to July 2011.
