THE director-general of police in Andhra Pradesh has clarified his remark linking women's fashion to an increase in the number of rape cases in the state, reported Makkal Osai.
V. Dinesh Reddy, who was embroiled in a controversy following the remark at a press conference on Friday, said he did not mean to degrade women and that he attributed the link to a “social study”.
