SOME 100 devotees of a temple in Cheras soaked their feet in cold water and held a pineapple to cross a bridge in a ritual at a cemetery to usher in good luck for the New Year, Guang Ming Daily reported.
More than 200 had registered for the ritual to turn around their ill-luck of the previous year but the Tua Peh Yeh Temple medium who was “inspired” to hold the ceremony allowed only 100 devotees because of space constraints and the fact it was being held for the first time.
