Chua: Yearly licence renewal makes it costly for outlets

PETALING JAYA: The decision by the Kedah government to impose a yearly licence fee for entertainment outlets in the state will cause the operators to incur a heavy financial burden, the MCA Young Professionals Bureau said.

Bureau chairman Datuk Chua Tee Yong (pic) said the state government's plan to compel entertainment businesses to pay annual fees instead of the original monthly payment would create cash-flow problems and deter other entertainment entrepreneurs from investing in the state.
