A teenager led police on a high-speed chase and crashed his car, after panicking when a patrol car approached to check on him. Muar OCPD Asst Comm Azman Ayob said the chase started in Taman Sakeh at 9.30pm when police went to check on the 19-year-old suspect behind the wheels of a Perodua Alza with two female passengers. "When the patrol car approached the vehicle and requested the driver to wind down the window, the suspect suddenly sped off," he said. Police chased after him for 20km towards Pagoh before the suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed on the roadside. "When arrested, the two (female) teenagers were terrified while the suspect wrestled with the police. An initial probe found that he was unlicensed but drove his father's car to meet the two girls," Azman said. All suspects have been released on bail but investigation is ongoing under Section 186 and 279 of the Penal Code.
>Five people attacked by tenant
Five people were allegedly attacked by a tenant after she purportedly refused to pay the three months’ rental. It was reported that the landlord, Luo Jin Wen, and his two family members had gone to the house in Puchong to look for the tenant at about noon on Oct 6. They were accompanied by an assistant of Kinrara assemblyman Ng Sze Han and a property agent. However, the tenant, who is a single mother, was angry when she found out one of them was secretly recording the meeting. The tenant and her three daughters started to attack the group, which quickly called police for help. Two of them were injured and received treatment at nearby hospital. Police detained the tenant and her children for further investigation.
