Three joggers had the fright of their lives when they found a dead man lying face down in a ditch in Bukit Kiara yesterday. The body was found around 11.50pm near a guard house by a 31-year-old businessman, who had just finished a late night run with two other friends. Brickfields police chief ACP Shahrul Othman Mansor said the victim has been identified as S. Govindarajoo, 56, and is believed to have died one hour before he was found.

A 21-year-old man who was merely helping to look after motorcycle was stabbed in the chest when the owner mistook him to be a thief. Tengku Shafiq Tengku Adam Azli says he had noticed the key in the motorcycle’s ignition at a funfair ground at Tanah Putih in Kuantan and decided to keep an eye on the vehicle until its owner returned. He was however stabbed by the 26-year-old owner when he was mistaken as a thief. He was rushed to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan. The suspect surrendered himself at the Kuantan police headquarters. He is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
