> Couple splits over wife’s addiction to futsal
A husband in Kuala Lumpur is reported to have split from his 26-year-old wife over her addiction to futsal. The man was often left behind at home while his wife went to the futsal court for games in the evening with some of her male pals. It is claimed that the husband had advised his wife to stop playing too much so they could focus on having a baby, but his words fell on deaf ears. Lina (not her real name), said her husband was the one who had introduced her to futsal as a way to release tension from her job as an office clerk. However, she got addicted to playing and started to abandon her responsibilities to the family. “There was once when my husband locked the front gate and hid the car keys, but it didn’t stop me from using the back door and getting on a taxi to the futsal court,” she said. Her husband was also in the dark one time when she left home without notice to attend a futsal clinic in another state. Lina said she was sorry that she could not balance her interest for the game with family life, which has led to she and her husband living apart.
> Foetuses of twins found in surau toilet
Two baby foetuses, believed to be of a pair of twins, were discovered at a surau toilet in Durian Burung, Kuala Terengganu. Ahmad Afkar Salleh, 18, said he discovered the foetuses in separate locations at about 3pm Sunday when he was making his way out of the toilet. “As I was leaving the toilet, I saw an object covered in ants and flies near the door, while another object was outside,” he said. He said he thought the objects were cat foetuses. However, a nurse who happened to be at the surau went to take a look and confirmed that the two objects were actually human foetuses. Ahmad Afkar said he suspected that one of the foetuses had been dragged out of the toilet by a stray cat.
