A local man and a Vietnamese woman were arrested by police in Malacca Sunday for allegedly stealing a car from Johor Baru on July 5. The duo were caught after police received tip off from the public that the stolen Honda Civic was parked at a hotel. Earlier, images of the stolen car were shared on social media in a bid to help the owner locate his vehicle. Malacca CID chief Asst Comm Kamaluddin Kassim said the male suspect arrested is a 21-year-old man from Johor, while his female accomplice from Vietnam is also in her 20s. It was reported that the suspects had pretended to be owner of the vehicle and driven the car away from a car wash in Johor Baru.
