Malaysian Idol winner Jaclyn Victor, who is now eight months pregnant, has defended her prenatal physique, saying she has continued to exercise to stay fit and healthy. The 37-year-old singer was responding to comments on how little her body shape has changed. "I am not the kind who can sit still. Although I am pregnant, I am still actively moving around. And besides eating healthily, I do exercise, too," she said. Jaclyn said she was used to being hardworking and did not plan for a long break after delivering her first child with husband, Shawn Rivera.
> Terengganu mulls sending Mat Rempit to religious school
The Terengganu government is mulling a proposal to send "Mat Rempit" to traditional religious schools to stop them from being a menace on the streets. Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman said the plan was to enrol illegal street racers at these schools for three months where they will be taught about Islamic personal obligations. He said strict action must be taken against them since discussions and past efforts have been futile. Ahmad Razif also disclosed that the state government might cancel the plan to build race tracks if efforts to "rehabilitate" them failed. The state leader was upset that more than 120 Mat Rempit were caught breaking rules in an operation on the first day of Hari Raya last Friday.
