Rahayu Juhan, 37, said she is willing to forgive the driver who hit her husband if the suspect surrenders and apologises to her family. "This year's Hari Raya was meaningless to me because my husband is still in a coma. I hope the individual will turn himself in to the police and take responsibility for what has happened," she said. Rahaya’s husband, 39-year-old Suhaimi Soin, was riding his motorbike along the Cheras-Kajang Grand Saga Highway on July 15 when he was hit by a car. He is being treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Kajang district police chief Asst Comm Willey Richard has said that so far no witnesses have come forward to assist in investigations.

Local celebrity Rozita Che Wan, popularly known as Che Ta, says she prepared 20 sets of new clothes for herself and five-month-old daughter, Aaisyah Dhia Rana, for the Hari Raya celebrations this year. Che Ta said she has lesser Raya clothes this year because she also has to dress her daughter up. She used to have 30 sets of new Raya clothes, she said. "I don't like to repeat my outfits because it might not fit (again), so most of them are kept away. But there are too many clothes now and I don't know who to give them to, so I have to rent a house to store them," she revealed.
