A 28-year-old woman suffered burns on her face and body, and was feared to have lost her sight after an attack at her home in Kuching on Wednesday. Her relatives, who rushed her to the hospital, said her ex-husband often harassed her even after divorce. During the incident at 5am, the man was said to have gone mad after his ex-wife refused to have sex with him, and he then splashed her with acid.

Obesity among Chinese nationals is getting serious. According to a survey, China will soon overtake the United States as having the most obese people. The survey said that unlike the Americans and their love for fast food, the Chinese were putting on more weight due to frequent consumption of steamboat meals, which have high oil and cholesterol contents from its meat-laden ingredients.
