> Mob beats to death man accused of stealing cow
In Kuala Terengganu, a 28-year-old man died after he was beaten by a group of angry civilians for allegedly stealing a cow. The victim fell into a coma at Kampung Pengkalan Maras where he was attacked and succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital on April 12. State CID chief Asst Comm Wan Abdul Aziz Wan Hamzah said the victim suffered brain damage, broken arms and facial injury as a result of the mob attack. Police are hunting down those involved and the case is being investigated for murder. So far, seven suspects aged between 20 and 50 have been detained to assist in the probe.
> Toddler accidentally locks herself in car
It was a tense and anxious time for a mother when her three-year-old daughter accidentally locked herself in the car. During the 9.20am incident Thursday, the mother was washing the car and did not notice her toddler had taken the car key, gone into the car, and pressed the safety lock. The girl was trapped in the car for 30 minutes and it took the Fire and Rescue Department 11 minutes to save her.
