Sabah Education Department director Datuk Jame Alip is not amused by a Form Three student's April Fool's prank that he won an award from Google Ideas. "We take this matter seriously. There are ways to make jokes, but not like this and it was embarrassing," he said, adding that a press conference would be called after the department receives a complete report from the district education office over the matter. Yusrim Karim, 15, from SMK Merpati, had lied about creating an app, Coker Chat, and sending the software to Google Ideas. He claimed Google Ideas had accepted his app and offered him three options, and he chose US$50,000 cash. Google has since denied giving any award to him.
> Arms and legs of beheaded Port Klang youth still missing
The arms and legs of a 19-year-old murdered youth, whose body was found dismembered and beheaded in Port Klang, are still missing. Selangor police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Samah Mat said the victim's body was hacked into four pieces by the suspects and his head decapitated. "The murder act was inhumane. We take this case seriously and are still hunting down the suspects," he said referring to the case where the teenager was "arrested" at his home by three men claiming to be police officers on March 9. His body was found in a gunny sack near Port Klang one day later after he was taken away by the suspects.
