Men desirous of a hunky, hulking frame, synonymous with the Abang Sado (Muscle Man) trend are advised against fat-burning products that could prove fatal to their health. The Health Ministry's Pharmaceutical Enforcement Unit has detected the availability of 26 brands of fat-burning products containing poisonous chemicals. The products are smuggled in from overseas suppliers, not registered with the Health Ministry, and usually advertised for sale online. The substances in the products are certified dangerous as they can cause mental instability and cardiac arrests. Medical reports have confirmed cases of victims undergoing shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, irregular heartbeat, chest pains, sleep difficulties, spikes in blood pressure and sudden death.
