Teenager's hand gets caught in sugar cane machine

The good intention of a teenage boy to help his father at his sugar cane drink stall turned into a tragedy when four of his left hand fingers were crushed in the machine. The horrific incident took place on Wednesday at Taman Gurun Jaya, Gurun. Mohd Faizullah Norazham, 18, was chatting with a friend while juicing the sugar cane. "Suddenly I felt extreme pain and realised that my left hand got stuck in the machine. I quickly turned off the power and nearly fainted after seeing a pool of blood," the victim said. The teenager’s father, Norazham Nordin, said his son had taken over the business operation since he completed high school several months ago. "His intention was good, to earn some extra income, but nobody expected this to happen. Doctor said only his index and pinky finger might be saved," Norazham added.
