Rock singer Awie, whose real name is Ahmad Azhar Othman, 47, will continue to fight for the custody of his three children. The Syariah Court, on Jan 14, set aside the temporary custody order awarded to him last year and granted it to his estranged wife Rozana Misbun. Awie said the decision shocked him and the children were still under his care as he has still not received the court document. "Even after I receive the document, I will do my best to appeal. I don't care if the case is prolonged as long as the children stay with me," he said. Awie has also claimed that the children were afraid upon learning of the court order and that they did not want to stay with their mother.
> Hunt for sick sun bear
The Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) has dispatched its Swift Wildlife Action Team (SWAT) team to track down the weird-looking sun bear that was spotted in a palm oil plantation near Sibu. SFC deputy general manager Oswald Braken Tisen said they needed to capture the animal to find out what had happened to it, and give it medical treatment. A video of the sun bear without fur went viral on social media and animal welfare groups speculated that the animal could be suffering from an illness.
