Irresponsible individuals in Kota Tinggi, Johor, have hung ladies underwear and bras on road signs and traffic lights in several places around the town since last Friday. A 32-year-old pedestrian, Rozie, said it was an embarrassing sight and affected the image of the town. It was reported that local authorities, including police, removed the undergarments upon receiving public complaints. According to the police, the case has been referred to the Kota Tinggi district council.

The leaning tower in Teluk Intan, Perak, will be declared a Unesco World Heritage Site on Feb 8. According to Teluk Intan MP Datuk Mah Siew Keong, the recognition has been well received by the state locals. He said the leaning tower was equivalent to the famous Pisa Tower of Italy. "My five years of effort have finally paid off," he said. He was confident that the recognition would help to lure more international tourists to Teluk Intan.
