A woman has claimed that a former school friend used black magic to trick her into surrendering RM267,000, leaving only RM700 in her Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) account. The 37-year-old victim only realised the money had disappeared in late November, and said two pages were torn from her ASB bank book to conceal proof of the withdrawals. She claimed that the Selangor-born suspect, who stayed with her during a trip to Miri, Sarawak, blew charmed smoke into her face, causing memory loss over the specifics of the incident and the culprit’s background. Police are investigating the case under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating.
> Man cuts off wife’s hands and feet, kills self
A husband’s suspicion that his wife was being unfaithful led him to cut off her hands and feet with a meat cleaver after a heated argument. The 47-year-old jobless man then drank poison before hanging himself at the balcony of their home in Kluang, Johor. The victim’s brother rushed to the scene after hearing about the argument from the couple’s 10-year-old son, and found his sister in the double-storey house’s parking lot. The victim, who works in a hotel in Singapore, also suffered parang-inflicted wounds to her body but survived the brutal attack. She is currently in critical condition and admitted to the Hospital Besar Enche Besar Hajjah Kalsom.
