> Man makes ultimate sacrifice when saving neighbour's house
A 43-year-old man, Hasan Sani Laksamana, paid the ultimate price when he lost his life when saving a neighbour's house from burning down. The man, who suffered from asthma, had gone into his neighbour's flat in Sungai Bakap, Penang, to put out a fire, believed to have started after the occupant forgot to turn off his gas stove. "After the fire was extinguished, he came out of the house looking weak and collapsed onto the corridor floor," his daughter said. He left behind three children, aged 14 to 8, who are now orphaned as their mother had run away two years ago.
