> Missing boatmen found off Pulau Perhentian
Two boatmen were found several nautical miles away from Pulau Perhentian, 16 hours after being reported missing. Mohd Suhaimi Ibni Shukri, 27, and Suffian Mohd Nor, 47, were found stranded in their boat. The duo had departed from Kuala Besut jetty around 9pm on Monday night, but are reported to have encountered a storm on the way back and failed to navigate their way out of it. They were also not able to make their way back after their vessel ran out of fuel. The duo was rescued by the same fishermen who had found a decomposed body on Monday.

Universiti Malaya Students’ Council president Fahmi Zainol, 23, says he is not a supporter of Pakatan Rakyat. The student leader said when it came time to vote, he would choose the party that showed better performance and he would be on the rakyat's side. "There is no perfection. Shall see which is better, the government or the opposition," he said. Fahmi came into public spotlight for organising a talk featuring Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Universiti Malaya on Oct 27. Fahmi also said he won't join any political parties at least until he graduates.
