A 19 year-old is claiming he was "raped" by his girlfriend in his car when he sent her home to Wangsa Maju on Saturday. He alleged that she kissed and forced him to have sex in the car. When she left the car, he said two other men approached him, one of them claiming to be the woman's boyfriend. He accused the teenager of having sex with his girlfriend and demanded RM46,000 within a week. The victim was then assaulted and dropped off at a petrol station in Subang Jaya. He has lodged a report at the Dang Wang police station. "Police are investigating whether the female suspect and her male accomplices blackmail victims after using sex as a bait," a police source said.
> Church construction at Mentari Court being politicised, says councillor
A Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) member has argued that the objection against building a church opposite the Mentari Court and Damai apartment complexes was deliberately politicised by certain parties to fan religious sentiments. Halimey Abu Bakar argued that the land was already gazetted in 2001 for the construction of a non-Muslim place of worship. He also brushed off claims that there were no discussions held to gauge opinions of the local residents and management body there. In 2012, MBPJ organised a public hearing but only the Damai Apartment's joint management body attended while none from the surau or residents’ associations turned up to voice their opinions.
