Umie Aida picky over acting roles to preserve her image

Actress Umie Aida will accept only acting roles that are relevant to her image since she started wearing the headscarf. "I want my acting to be natural, because when we act, we should be honest with the role we play," she said. She admitted it would be challenging to play the role of a wife or mother as there would be scenes involving physical action such as touching and hugging. The actress, who won the 26th Malaysian Film Festival (FFM) Best Supporting Actress award this year, is currently taking a break and will resume work once she receives a challenging role.

> Ukrainian 'Barbie-doll' model claims she was beaten up
A 28-year-old model in Ukraine, who is famous for her Barbie-doll looks, was beaten up on Halloween night until her face and lips were badly swollen. Valeria Lukyanova said she had returned to her apartment complex after shopping when two men blocked her way and began punching her in the face. They also attempted to strangle her. She was only released when a neighbour came to her rescue. However, netizens claimed she made the story up as a cover-up for her additional plastic surgery procedures but she has denied this.
