A Singaporean woman who was unhappy with the additional charges incurred upon purchasing a smartphone from a shop received a rude shock when she was compensated in coins. The woman who’d bought an iPhone 6 from a shop in Sim Lim Square, Singapore for S$3,000 (RM7,650) is said to have been unhappy over the additional charges and lodged a complaint with the consumers association. The shop was later ordered to pay her S$1,010 (RM2,570) in compensation. However, despite numerous requests the money was not paid. When the shop did eventually pay, it did so by sending the woman the whole sum in 5 cent and 1 cent coins.
