Malaysian celebrity Soo Wincci has admitted that she is seeing a guy from Taiwan. The 29-year-old artiste, who celebrated her birthday on Sunday, said she met the guy two months ago. Soo, who has not been in a relationship for the past three years, added that her family and colleagues were more concerned about her love life than her. Though the former beauty queen was hoping to start a new relationship, she stressed that she would never neglect her career.

Grilled monitor lizard meat was served at the 1Malaysia Perak Community Carnival in Kuala Kangsar, Perak, recently. A Muslim man uploaded a picture of the exotic dish onto his Facebook and it has since become an issue as the meat is not halal. "It tasted like normal meat, but (the texture was) harder and tougher," said another man who tried the reptile meat out of curiosity and peer pressure. Meanwhile, a spokesman in charge of the booth at the carnival said the non-halal meat was only served to non-Muslims. It was intended to show to the public on how the armies survive in the woods, he said.
