Girlfriend forced to live in chicken coop

> Girlfriend forced to live in chicken coop
A woman left her family to be with her boyfriend but regretted soon after she was made to eat and sleep in a chicken coop behind a house in Kota Baru, Kelantan. Kota Baru police chief ACP Rohaimi Md Isa said the suspect and his 34-year-old girlfriend from Bachok had stayed in the chicken coop for the past two weeks. The suspect became homeless after selling his land. ACP Rohaimi said the victim was not caged as the chicken coop was left unlocked. He said the victim had refused to escape because she was too afraid of the suspect and fear of being abused by him. The suspect's sister who lived nearby did not dare to interfere but helped the victim to call the police. The suspect fled when the police arrived at the scene.

Tapir is a protected animal under the Protection of Wildlife Act 1972 and those found guilty of killing one could be sentenced up to three years’ jail and fined RM100,000.
