>Woman beats up ex-hubby's wife over phone number
In Cheras, a woman resorted to violence Tuesday after the new wife of her ex-husband refused to give her the man's contact number. The victim was beaten on the head with a helmet and motorcycle steel lock, and when she fell down, the suspect's accomplices joined in the assault. The husband, who later showed up to rescue his new wife, was not spared from being attacked for several minutes before the group fled from the scene. Both the victims suffered bruises all over the body, along with head injuries.

The Bukit Aman Special Branch Counter Terrorism Unit arrested a 25-year-old woman in Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (KLIA2) last Sunday. She was suspected to be on her way to join Islamic State (IS) militants in Syria. The suspect, whose Malaysian husband has joined IS in Syria, had previously changed her itinerary to avoid the authorities. She added Brunei as a transit stop before giving Istanbul, Turkey as her final destination. According to a source, the suspect received RM6,000 for the journey from a relative of another Malaysian militant who was already killed in Syria.
