High-school students in Kelantan as young as 15 years are becoming distributors of drugs like "pil kuda"(Ketamine). State police detained 5,756 offenders between January and May this year and it was reported that most were students. The drug is highly accessible and transactions take only a phone call, with a 15-minute delivery period. A former drug addict confessed that smuggling the illegal drug from Thailand was easy and hoped authorities would step up efforts to eradicate drug abuse.
> IRB warns of fake message blacklisting tax evaders
The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) has denied issuing a statement banning tax defaulters who owed as little as RM100 from leaving the country, including flying to Sabah and Sarawak. The fake statement was circulated in WhatsApp several days ago. The message urged recipients to click on link and provide their identity card number to check on their status. IRB public relations officer Masrun Maslim warned against falling for the ruse.
