A man was so upset that his smartphone could not be fixed that he burnt down the ancestral home of his late mother in Miri, Kuching. Some 20 tenants living there lost their belongings due to the 27-year-old man's irresponsible action. According to the suspect's father, the man was unemployed and had sold many items from the house to feed his drug habit.

Every day after school, he can be seen selling kuih around Sungai Isap village in Kuantan, no matter the weather, to earn money to support his sick mother and six siblings. Baharudin, the third child in the family, has to shoulder the responsibility as both his elder siblings have disabilities.
