> MH17: Young son in tears as he sees mother’s casket
Eight year-old Alif Haiqal couldn’t hold back his tears when he saw and touched the casket of his mother, Hamfazlin Sham Mohamed Arifin, at the Monuta Innemee funeral home in S-Gravenhage, Netherlands. Flight attendant Hamfazlin Sham was one of the Malaysian victims on board downed Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH17.

According to Vincent Kwo, president of Life Insurance Association of Malaysia, a total of RM7.1mil in insurance payouts has yet to be claimed yet by the families of passengers on board Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flights MH370 and MH17. A total of RM34.2mil was set aside by insurance companies as insurance payouts.

A 62-year-old man who helped around at a noodle stall at a hawker centre in Bukit Cina, Malacca collapsed at his work place shortly after realising he had won the 2nd prize in a lottery. He was believed to have been overwhelmed by the news and exclaimed “Wow!” before collapsing at about 6am on Thursday.

A woman who went into labour suddenly, was forced to bite off her baby’s umbilical cord when she was chased out of the vehicle she was travelling in and forced to give birth by the side of a highway. The 43-year-old woman from Sichuan, China was reportedly travelling to work by bus at 11pm on Monday when she went into labour suddenly. Alerting the bus driver, however, resulted in her being chased out of the vehicle and being forced to give birth by the side of the road.
