Several "A-list" celebrities are on the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) "hot list" for failing to settle their taxes. According to the IRB, only 20% of local artistes have filed their income tax forms through the e-Filing system while the rest were believed not to have paid their taxes. The local artistes who have consistently paid their taxes include Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, Jaclyn Victor, Yuna, Erra Fazira and Salih Yaacob.

Singer Jaclyn Victor announced that she has married Shawn Riviera, singer of American R&B group Az Yet. The wedding ceremony, held at the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia in the United States on July 19, was witnessed by 35 family members.
