Kris Dayanti sticks with MAS


> Kris Dayanti will continue to fly MAS
Indonesian singer Kris Dayanti will continue to fly MAS to come to Malaysia. She said death could happen anywhere and anytime, and that she believed fate and God determined the death of a person. Kris has been flying with MAS since 1998.

> 6,015 spies for Domestic Trade Ministry
In order to help the Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry monitor the prices of consumer goods in Kuala Lumpur during the festive period, 6,015 consumers will act as its spies. Joint-chairman of Kuala Lumpur Consumers Movement Datuk Rahim Baba said the operation started Sunday and will end on Aug 5.

> Jaip seizes religious books
The Pahang Islamic Religious Department (JAIP) seized dozens of religious books from a group that practises Syiah Bukhara. The raid took place at a house in Mentakab on Saturday. When the raid was conducted at 3am, 19 men, 13 women and three children were praying and according to Jais, their prayers were against the teachings of Islam.

> Couple commits suicide in apartment
A couple was believed to have committed suicide in a Seremban apartment Saturday night. Aged 66 and 57, the husband and wife had been staying there for more than 20 years. It was believed they died more than 24 hours earlier. The bodies were discovered by a neighbour who had noticed a stench from the apartment.

> Road rage victim 'Uncle' Sim opts out of buka puasa session with bully
Road rage victim Sim Siak Hong has decided for now not to have a "breaking fast" session with the woman who verbally abused him and damaged his car with a steering lock. Sim, who had planned to buka puasa with Siti Fairrah Ashykin Kamaruddin previously, changed his mind after being advised by some people from the legal industry that it was not suitable for him to meet her currently. Siti Fairrah is being charged in court Monday.
