A group of Monkeys have made USJ12, Subang Jaya their home and are feeding themselves off fruit trees planted in the area. The presence of the animals has caused concern among residents, with some complaining about the roofs of their houses having been destroyed. Subang Jaya state assemblyman Hannah Yeoh said wildlife department authorities (Perhilitan) had set up several traps in the area but had failed to capture the animals.

The Johor state government has proposed charging a fee of RM20 for Singapore-registered vehicles entering Johor Bahru. Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said a proposal was made to the Federal Government five months ago and that the state was still awaiting Putrajaya's decision. From the fee, RM5 would be returned to Johor for road maintenance, he said. Mohamed Khaled also clarified that the proposed fee was not in retaliation of Singapore's latest revision of the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) fee and Goods Vehicle Permit (GVP) fee for foreign-registered cars entering the republic. 

> Villagers want pig farm relocated
Residents of Kampung Selamat want the Government to immediately relocate a pig farm in the area suspected to be at the centre of the recent Japanese Encephalities (JE) case in Penang. The state veterinary department has already taken blood samples of pigs to determine whether the disease originated from the animals there.
