reported that the luxury bungalow diva Datuk Siti Nurhaliza lives in with her husband is worth more than RM6mil. Besides the mansion located in Bukit Antarabangsa, Siti also owns several other properties including a condominium worth RM1.5mil in Melbourne, Australia. 

> Nasi Kandar fans take heed
The National Anti-Drug Agency has warned nasi kandar fans to be careful when eating the local favourite dish, Berita Harian reported.

According to Alias Jaafar, who is the agency director for Selangor, the ingredients used in cooking nasi kandar such as poppy seeds (kas kas) could turn urine test positive for drugs.

"Our officers have tested eating nasi kandar. Five of them were all tested 'positive' after eating," he said. 

> Ex-Kedah MCA chief unhappy with latest Cabinet reshuffle
Former Kedah MCA chairman Datuk Chong Itt Chew was unhappy with the Cabinet reshuffle, saying the party should be given more full minister positions compared to MIC.

"I am not satisfied with the Cabinet reshuffle ... the reshuffle has reduced the number of MCA full ministers to only two from four previously," he was quoted by Sinar Harian.

He said MCA won seven seats in the 13th general election and MIC only won four seats, but both were given two full minister posts.

> 70-year-old woman slapped for complaining
A 70-year-old woman was slapped three times on her face by a staff of a bus company when she complained to him about one of the drivers in Malacca on Tuesday, according to China Press. The woman claimed the staff, in his 50s, also spat at her face.

The woman said she was chased out from the bus with her luggage being thrown out after she could not produce the ticket immediately. She told the driver that she had kept the ticket in her luggage but the driver refused to listen.

The woman admitted that she did scold the driver and staff. A police report was lodged and the staff had been questioned. 

> Hua Zong welcomes MCA back to Cabinet
The daily also said that the Federation of Chinese Associations of Malaysia (Hua Zong) welcomed the MCA rejoining the Cabinet.

Hua Zong's president Tan Sri Pheng Yin Huah said he hoped that MCA and Gerakan would keep their promises to express the voice of the Chinese community in the Cabinet.

Pheng said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s move to appoint a Chinese deputy minister in the International Trade and Industry Ministry was appropriate as it would help to promote trade especially between Malaysia and China.

However, Pheng regretted that there were no Chinese representatives in ministries such as the Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government; Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, and Education.

> MCA ministers should bring Chinese education issues to the Cabinet
The United Chinese School Tea­chers’ Association of Malaysia (Jiao Zong) hoped that MCA ministers would bring issues related to Chinese education to the Cabinet as there was no MCA representative in the Education Ministry, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The daily quoted its chairman Ong Chiow Chuen as saying that he was disappointed that an MCA representative was not appointed in the ministry.

Ong hoped Deputy Education Minister Datuk Mary Yap would allocate more time to look into problems in the Chinese education.
