Young females in Africa will no longer have to skip school out of embarrassment, thanks to an initiative that provides them with reusable sanitary pads.

SUE Barnes had no problem getting sanitary pads while she grew up in South Africa. She came to realise that not every girl was as “lucky” as she was when they were menstruating.
