Defaulters pay up, thanks to rebate


GETTING a 20% rebate on their National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) loans was too good a deal to pass up for over 33,000 borrowers, of whom 1,359 were “hardcore defaulters”.

Between October last year and the end of last month, the PTPTN collected over RM323.8mil and awarded up to RM80.95mil in rebates to those who paid off their loans.
