Tale Spin winners inspire friends

Winning rocks: These young fans of The Star are from SJKC Sam Tet, Ipoh, whose team Bane Asylum was one of the winners of NiE’s storyboarding contest.

Stories of the champions’ holiday escapades in Hong Kong filled their classmates with determination to try harder in this year’s contest.

WHEN Alwyn Yip Winn Sheng, Chan Kah Kin, Jacey Hen Hue Tyng, Tay Jenn Lin and Woon Li Qi of Team 4Sc Alpha 2 handed in their completed storyboard entry to their teacher for the Newspaper-in-Education (NiE) contest last year, it had seemed nothing out of the ordinary. So, they were in utter disbelief when their team from SMK Seri Bintang Utara, Kuala Lumpur, clinched the top spot in the NiE contest for the Upper Secondary category.
